Spring Steam Gala 2024 - Coffee & Cake

Come and join us for our 2024 Spring Steam Gala.

Visit our fabulous museum then take a trip on one of the many steam trains running each day. 

A varied timetable will be in operation throughout the day, which should feature our home fleet, including the return of 1894 built Grant Ritchie 272, after its period on loan at the Cambrian Railway Society.

Furness Railway No.20 will also be in operation on both days, which will mean 2 19th Century locomotives will be in service.

During the weekend, a number of seats are available within the GER Royal Saloon, where you can enjoy two trips with Coffee and Cake served at your table.  

Purchasing these tickets also permits standard travel on all other services that day. 

Trains depart from Preston Riverside Station.

Space is limited to only 16 guests per train so early booking is advisable.
Unfortunately due its age and method of construction, we are sorry but the carriage is not accessible to wheelchair users.
